The project addresses image analysis problems in the areas of Medicine and Architecture. A tight link between these two different domains is the use of the same mathematical techniques based on Regularization Theory and recent advances in Statistics.

A secondary, but rather intriguing, link is provided by the same role played by image analysis in the diagnostics of problems arising in both the human health care and heritage preservation and valorization processes.
